President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was on Thursday conferred with the chieftaincy title ‘Dike Si Mba’ by traditional rulers in Anambra State during his official visit to the region.

The title, which translates to “Hero from another land,” was bestowed by monarchs from various communities across the state, led by Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi, Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council. The event took place in Awka, the state capital.

President Tinubu arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri at approximately 12:15 p.m. and was received by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, his deputy Onyeka Ibezim, and other top government officials.

As part of his visit, the President officially inaugurated the state’s first Government House, more than 30 years after Anambra’s creation. The occasion marks a significant milestone in the state’s political and administrative history.

In addition to the Government House, President Tinubu also commissioned other infrastructure projects executed by the Soludo-led administration.

This visit marks the second time in 2025 that President Tinubu has visited the South-East region, following his earlier trip to Enugu State in January.
