Access Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. Ibironke Adeyemi as an Independent Non-Executive Director, following the resignation of Mr. Oluseyi Kumapayi (FCA) from the board.
The appointment, effective April 15, 2025, was approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and is part of the company’s broader effort to strengthen board diversity and expertise.
Access Holdings described the move as strategic, noting that Mrs. Adeyemi brings over three decades of experience in finance, education, and corporate governance.
Currently, Adeyemi serves as Managing Director of Chrisland Schools Limited, part of the respected Chrisland Group. She also sits on the boards of Chrisland University, the Victor and Winifred Awosika Foundation, and Holy Trinity Hospital.
Previously, she was Executive Director at Chemo-Pharma Laboratories, where she led improvements in financial efficiency and operations. Her early professional journey included roles at Peat Marwick Ani & Ogunde (now KPMG Nigeria) as an audit trainee and chartered accountant.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and a Master’s in Educational Administration and Planning—all from the University of Lagos. She has completed executive programs at institutions including Harvard Business School and the Lagos Business School.
A qualified chartered accountant, Mrs. Adeyemi is a member of Rotary International and the Chartered Institute of Directors (Nigeria).
