Parma sacked coach Fabio Pecchia after a seven-match winless run left them in the Serie A relegation zone.
Parma have dismissed coach Fabio Pecchia following a seven-match winless streak that has left the team in the Serie A relegation zone.
Pecchia, 51, had been at the helm since June 2022 and successfully led the team back to the top flight by securing the Serie B title last season. However, a 1-0 home loss to Roma over the weekend marked their fourth consecutive defeat. The club is without a win since December 28, now sitting in 18th place, just one point above the relegation zone.
Pecchia’s departure comes as the eighth coaching change in Serie A this season. Local reports suggest that former Romania defender Cristian Chivu, who recently worked with Inter Milan’s youth teams, will take over.
