Police Issue Wanted Notice for Singer Portable

The Ogun State Police have declared controversial singer Portable wanted for allegedly leading a violent attack on government officials. Authorities are urging the public to provide information that could lead to his arrest.

Police in Ogun State have issued a wanted notice for controversial singer Habeeb Olalomi, also known as Portable, accusing him of leading a violent attack on government officials performing their lawful duties.

The declaration was made public in a police gazette on Monday evening, shared by the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola. She explained that the assault took place on February 5, 2025, around 10:00 a.m. when three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were carrying out an enforcement exercise at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota.

The officials—TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi—encountered an elderly man, later identified as Portable’s father, at a property linked to the singer, known as Odogwu Bar. Upon identifying themselves and requesting the building’s approved plan, Portable’s father informed them that his son was not present.

However, shortly after, Portable appeared at the scene, armed with a firearm and accompanied by nine other individuals. He and his gang launched a violent attack on the unarmed officials, who sustained injuries but were able to escape and report the incident. The case was then escalated to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

Nine of Portable’s accomplices were arrested, but the singer fled and has been in hiding since. Multiple attempts to reach him through formal invitations to the Ogun State Police Command have been ignored.

Due to his continued evasion of the police, a court order has now declared Portable wanted. Authorities are urging the public to assist in locating him and to report any information that may lead to his arrest. Those found aiding or harboring him will face legal consequences. Any relevant information can be reported to the nearest police station or communicated to the Ogun State Police Command’s official channels.
