Senator Ned Nwoko denies rumors of plans to marry Chika Ike, calling them baseless and the result of malicious speculation. He also addresses false reports about his comments on Tuface and polygamy, urging the public to disregard these fabricated stories.
Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has refuted rumors claiming he intends to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike and that she is expecting his child.
The rumors surfaced after Regina Daniels, Nwoko’s wife, deactivated her Instagram account, sparking speculation about issues within their marriage.
In a statement from his office, Nwoko categorically denied the allegations, describing them as “baseless” and the result of malicious gossip. The senator also took aim at bloggers, accusing them of fabricating claims about his supposed support for Tuface to marry Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawuru.
Nwoko dismissed reports that he had commented on Tuface’s relationship or expressed views on polygamy as completely false. He pointed out that, given his public status and the fact that his wife is also an actress, such stories are likely concocted for attention.
Chika Ike has not yet addressed the matter publicly.
The senator’s office emphasized that Nwoko is currently focused on his national responsibilities and has no time for distractions. The statement also urged journalists to verify information with his office and reminded the public to disregard the rumors, relying only on official statements.
